A conversion set in 1:48 scale that turns the Tamiya Bf-109G-6 kit into the Spanish Hispano HA-1112 M.1L Buchon in the form under the designation Movie Star.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hispano HA-1112 M.1L Buchon is the Spanish postwar counterpart of the German Bf 109 fighter aircraft. The Spanish works built the airframe under license, but had to reach for a different power unit from the one the original German type had. The result was an unmistakably different nose and a different arrangement of the cooling openings, thanks to which the Buchon differs from the German machines at first glance. Flying examples were later used in the shooting of war films in the guise of German fighters, which is where the designation Movie Star comes from.
The set is meant for a build based on the Tamiya Bf-109G-6 kit in 1:48 scale. It takes the place of the parts of the airframe in which the Spanish version differs from the German subject and completes them with the details belonging to the particular form. The extent of the parts and the order of the steps are described in the manufacturer's instructions, because the cutting into the plastic parts of the kit cannot be undone.
The parts are not made of polystyrene, so cement for plastic models has no effect on them. Use cyanoacrylate glue and try the joint dry beforehand. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and carefully sand the remainder, so that the shape is not spoiled. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, or the paint will not hold on the surface. Even the joints with the plastic out with filler and sand them, because the transition will otherwise give itself away once sprayed.
The conversion is meant for more experienced modelers who already have an ordinary build behind them and do not mind cutting into parts. The kit, paints, filler and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
