1:48 Israel Flag is a sizeable printed board with the flag of Israel for finished models in 1:48 scale.

A large-format base with the flag of Israel, printed on an acrylic board 3 millimeters thick. The size of 410 x 270 millimeters and a weight of about 410 grams make it a stable foundation for an aircraft in 1:48 scale and for smaller ground hardware. The board is at the same time not so tall as to set the model optically apart from the other pieces on a shelf.
The young state adopted the flag in the autumn of 1948, a few months after independence was declared. The horizontal blue stripes at the top and the bottom refer to the stripes of a prayer shawl, and between them is placed a blue six-pointed star. The combination of white and a deep blue is unmistakable and under a model it works as a striking yet not garish base. The blue and white execution also sits well with the gray and sand camouflages that predominate on the machines there.
The Israeli Air Force is among the most rewarding themes: French Mirages and the domestic types derived from them, Phantoms, Skyhawks and today's machines of American origin. It will serve under ground hardware as well, though, because the area of the board takes a tank in a smaller scale together with an accompanying figure. For a comparative pair the area is just right: two smaller machines side by side will fit without crowding.
