A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. The set contains a precisely cast infrared sensor (IR detector) for the Swedish supersonic interceptor Saab J-35 Draken in 1:48 scale. The accessory refines the distinctive sensor ahead of the cockpit that some of the aircraft carried. The part is meant for advanced modelers with resin experience.
With its double delta wing the Draken is one of the icons of the Cold War, and the infrared seeker seated near the nose is a conspicuous recognition feature. The resin casting captures the shape of the sensor more faithfully than the plastic part and helps set apart the variant fitted with this equipment. Once cleaned up and glued in place it markedly raises the accuracy of the front of the model.
