1:48 J2M5/6 Raiden, self-adhesive Dead Design masks for a clean spray of the cabin canopy of the Japanese interceptor Mitsubishi J2M Raiden in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Precisely cut self-adhesive Dead Design masks for masking the glazing of a model of the Japanese fighter Mitsubishi J2M Raiden in the J2M5 and J2M6 versions, in 1:48 scale. It is a masking accessory for a kit that ensures sharp, straight lines on the frames of the cabin canopy without laborious cutting of tape.
The Mitsubishi J2M Raiden was an interceptor of the Imperial Japanese Navy, designed for fast climb and for fighting high-altitude bombers; unlike the agility-focused Zero, it was a machine built for speed and weight of armament. It was deployed above all in the defense of the home islands at the close of the war. The late versions, among them the J2M5 and J2M6, received a reworked cabin canopy with a better view, whose clean painting the masks make much easier.
You lift the masks off the backing sheet with tweezers, seat them on the matching pane of glazing and smooth the edges down. The interior shade is sprayed first, then the external camouflage. Once dry, carefully remove the masks; the glass stays clean and the frames sharply bounded.
This is a masking accessory: the airplane kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
