A photo-etched fret of parts in 1:48 scale for the model of the anti-tank version of the Ju 87G-2 Stuka. The exact extent of the parts is given in the enclosed instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Ju 87 Stuka was a German dive bomber, the machine by which many people still picture the first years of the Second World War today. The G-2 version, however, no longer made diving attacks. It was an anti-tank conversion that carried a pair of 37 mm cannon under the wings and attacked armored targets in a shallow dive from low altitude. It came out of the late D version with the long wings, and the heavy gun pods took away from its agility as well as its speed.
This is a photo-etched fret in 1:48 scale for the model of the Ju 87G-2. Photo-etch is used where a plastic part would have to be too thick because of the way it is made, that is on thin sheet, grilles and small fittings, and thanks to it the finished model looks more convincing in the details. What the fret holds and which kit it is tied to is given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
Leave the fret whole and take the parts out of it only at the moment you need them; cut-out small items are easily lost. Separate a part with a sharp blade pressed against the tab, not by twisting. Lead straight bends along a metal ruler or in a bending tool, and form curves over the round handle of a knife. Try the seating dry every time, because once super glue has been laid on, the part will not move any more. For joints with a larger contact area a slower-curing epoxy is more suitable. Lay the paint on a degreased and primed surface in thin coats, so that the fine relief of the photo-etch is not flooded.
Paints, glue and thinners are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The extent of the parts supplied is given in the description from the manufacturer.
