A spraying mask for the glazing from both sides and one complete set of national insignia for the Junkers Ju 88C-6 night fighter in 1:48 scale. The cut matches the Dragon kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Junkers Ju 88C-6 came about from a fast bomber by exchanging the glazed tip for a metal nose with gun armament. Above it, however, the pilot's cockpit remained divided into dozens of small panes, because it comes from the bomber version. These machines held the night defense of the Reich and hunted over the Bay of Biscay too, where they attacked patrol aircraft over the convoys.
The rule for deciding is simple: count the frames. Where a cockpit has over twenty of them, cutting tape by hand swallows a whole evening and a single slip of the blade means the work again. Pre-cut pieces shorten that stretch of the build to a few minutes and the edge comes out equally sharp around the whole perimeter, including the short oblique fields at the curves.
The glazing is covered from the outside and the inside, so the inner frames can be sprayed in the interior shade before the cockpit is closed. With it goes one complete set of national insignia with which the crosses are applied in paint. A gloss base under a decal falls away and so does the risk that a silver border will appear under the carrier film. The package does not contain decals or parts of the aircraft.
The outer part can be managed even by a modeler holding a mask for the first time. The inner side wants pointed tweezers, good light and peace to work. Besides ordinary painting tape for covering the rest of the fuselage you do not have to obtain anything else, because self-adhesive film holds on a smooth clear part by itself. The rest is a question of a steady hand: press the film down from the center toward the edges so that no air pocket stays under it, and apply the paint in thin coats.
