A detail set of the Junkers JUMO 004B-1 turbojet in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Aires. The resin accessory shows a faithfully detailed engine, including the outer casing and the accessories; it serves to complete kits of the aircraft that this engine powered realistically.
The JUMO 004 was a German turbojet of the Second World War and one of the first mass-produced turbojets in the world. The 004B version powered, among others, the Messerschmitt Me 262 jet aircraft. The engine has a characteristic axial compressor and a cylindrical casing.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks carefully and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. The engine comes into its own once painted in metallic shades with a gentle wash that emphasizes the structure and the lines.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
