A resin detail set in 1:48 scale for more experienced modelers. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory, that is, a faithfully cast K-36DM ejection seat as used by the Russian combat aircraft MiG-29, Su-27 and Su-33. The set replaces the simplified plastic seat on a base kit of one of these machines.
The K-36DM is a Soviet and Russian ejection seat that became known for its reliability and for its ability to save a pilot even in extreme situations. It was used in a whole range of modern Russian fighters. The seat is very much on show in an open cockpit, so a resin casting with a faithful frame, padding and harness raises the realism of the cockpit far more than a simple plastic part.
Before gluing, wash the part to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting block carefully and sand the surfaces; protect your airways when sanding resin. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Bring out the harness and the levers with paint and a fine wash. Try the fit in the cockpit dry. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
This is a resin detail set for more experienced modelers, not a complete model. A matching base kit is needed to use it; paints, glue and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
