The masking set 1:48 Ki-43 II Hayabusa In and Out from Dead Design is for a model of the light Nakajima army fighter, with masking from both sides.
Responsibility details are not available.
Masks for a model of the army fighter Nakajima Ki-43 of the second series. The name gives the rendition for both sides, so what is visible from inside the cockpit is reckoned with as well. The result is a frame that has the right color even seen from the interior, which anyone who displays the model with an open cockpit will appreciate. To use it you need a finished Hayabusa model, as the set does not replace one.
The Hayabusa was the most widespread fighter of the Japanese Army Air Force and it built on what Japanese pilots expected of a machine: lightness, a low wing loading and the ability to turn away from a heavier opponent. It was helped by combat flaps as well, which enlarged the lifting area in a turn. The second series received a more powerful engine and better protection, because the original machine was exceptionally fragile by the standards of the day and its light structure took hits badly.
Clean and degrease the clear parts first, then mask the inner side and apply the cockpit shade. Move on to the outside only after it has dried. The cockpit of the Hayabusa is fairly small, so work on the small parts with smooth-jawed tweezers to keep from scratching the surface. Finally check the edges against the light and correct any imperfections with a thin brush.
