A resin detail set, not an airplane model. The set holds faithfully cast control surfaces for the L-29 Delfin trainer, which can be fitted on a model in a deflected position and so bring a static build to life. The set is intended for kits of this aircraft in 1:48 scale and pushes the detail beyond the level of the plastic from the box.
The Aero L-29 Delfin was the first jet aircraft of Czechoslovak design and the standard basic trainer of the air forces of the Warsaw Pact countries. A two-seat cockpit, a simple and rugged structure and reliable operation made it one of the most widespread trainers of its era. It is a Czech aviation classic.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off carefully with a saw and level the surfaces; wear a respirator when sanding resin, as the dust is harmful to health. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue, not with ordinary cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting.
