The Avro Lancaster was a British four-engine heavy night bomber of the Second World War, powered by Rolls-Royce Merlin engines. It carried defensive gun turrets with 7.7 mm machine guns. The barrel rendering with a round perforated jacket corresponds to one of the cooling jacket variants used.
Resin parts call for more careful work than plastic: first wash them free of mold release agent, separate them carefully from the casting block and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Protect your airways when sanding and cutting small parts. Apply a primer before painting. Perforated barrels are fragile, so separate them carefully; the guns come out well once painted in a metallic shade and gently highlighted.
