A set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale from Eduard focused on stencils, that is the small technical placards, warning notices and service markings that cover the surface of the real aircraft. It is not a kit but a decal sheet for raising the credibility of a finished Starfighter model in the F-104A and F-104C versions.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was an American supersonic fighter with characteristically short, thin wings, nicknamed the missile with a man in it for its looks. The F-104A version was the first production fighter form, while the F-104C served as a fighter-bomber with the US Air Force. The aircraft made its name with record performance in speed and in climb.
The stencil markings are small, so work with sharp tweezers and lay them onto gloss varnish. A softening solution helps the decals pull into scribed detail and panel lines. Once dry, coat the surface with matte or semi-gloss varnish, so that the edges of the carrier film blend into the surface.
