A set of color 3D decals of the SPACE line from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, intended to bring the cockpit of a model of the F-16C in the Block 25 version in 1:48 scale to life. These are not photo-etched or resin parts but thin elements with a raised relief printed on decal backing paper. They have no adhesive layer of their own, so they do not work as a sticker: only the paper under the part is moistened and the element is released from it. The instrument panel and the side panels thus gain a depth and a richness of color that hand painting achieves only with difficulty.
The F-16 is a single-engine multirole combat aircraft with an integrated fuselage and wing, a bubble canopy with an outstanding view and a side-mounted control stick. Block 25 is the first production block of the single-seat F-16C version, which brought a more powerful radar and extended armament options compared with the earlier machines. The cockpit of block 25 differs from the later blocks in the arrangement of the displays and panels, which is why different interior sets are made for each configuration.
Cut the parts out of the sheet with a sharp scalpel along the outline and follow the instructions for the particular set. Moisten the backing paper under the part with a sponge and a drop of detergent, release the element with tweezers and transfer it onto a cleaned-up, previously painted base. Fix it with PVA (white) glue; the manufacturer does not recommend superglue with these elements. Do not use a decal softener or a decal setter, as their chemistry attacks the printed relief. Fit the interior before you close the halves of the fuselage, as once they have been glued you will no longer get at it.
This is an accessory for building a model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
