The set holds a resin propeller for a model of the American North American P-51D/K Mustang fighter in 1:72 scale, together with an assembly jig for precise setting of the blades. It is an aftermarket accessory from Quickboost (Aires) that replaces the plastic parts of the kit with a more faithfully cast propeller and hub. This is not an aircraft model but a detail set.
The North American P-51 Mustang was a single-seat fighter with a V12 engine, and its late D and K versions rank among the best-known machines of the Second World War. The propeller and its spinner are a visually prominent feature of the nose. More faithful blades and hub improve the overall impression of the finished build.
Wash the resin parts to remove the release agent and separate them from the casting blocks. The jig supplied helps to set the blades at the correct angle before the glue cures. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). When sanding resin, protect your airways and ventilate the area.
This is an aftermarket resin accessory. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
