This set is NOT an airplane model but a complete bundle of accessories. The ESSENTIAL line from Eduard brings the most important resin and photo-etched detail sets for a particular kit together in a single package, so the modeler does not have to obtain each item separately. It is intended for models of the twin-boom P-38F/G fighter in the same 1:48 scale.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was an American twin-engined fighter with a characteristic twin-boom layout, used during the Second World War in Europe and in the Pacific. The F and G forms were among its early operational versions.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Bend the photo-etched items over a metal ruler and glue them in spots. Wear respiratory protection while sanding; painted interior surfaces come out well once a primer has been applied and the shadows gently brought out.
This is a bundle of accessories, not a model on its own. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
