A set of resin Martin-Baker Type 7A Mk.1 ejection seats intended for the British versions of the Phantom in 1:48 scale from Aires. These are faithfully detailed seats that replace the simplified parts from a plastic kit, including the seat harness, the levers and further elements.
The British Phantoms were the home version of the twin-engine multirole aircraft, adapted among other things for Rolls-Royce engines. They were fitted with Martin-Baker ejection seats, which were among the most widespread systems of their kind and allowed an emergency escape from the aircraft across a wide range of speeds.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond with super glue. The seats come into their own once the frame, the cushions and the harness are painted and the details picked out gently with a wash.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
