The set offers 3D-printed resin replicas of the American Mark 82 aircraft bomb in 1:48 scale, in the version with a thermal protective coating. It is not an airplane kit but an aftermarket accessory with which you can load the pylons and racks of a model you have already built.

The real subject

The Mark 82 is an American low-drag general-purpose bomb of roughly 500 lb from the standard Mk 80 family. It belongs to the most widespread aircraft armament of modern tactical aircraft. The thermal protective coating reduces the risk of premature initiation at raised temperatures, for example aboard ships.

Use and building tips

• Wash the residue of uncured print resin off the parts and separate them from the print supports.
• Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
• Do the sanding with respiratory protection, preferably wet.
• The thermal coating has a characteristic texture; once it has been sealed with primer, bring it out with a fine dry brush.
