A mask set from the Czech maker New Ware for plastic models of the E-2C Hawkeye carrier-based early warning aircraft and its modernized Hawkeye 2000 configuration at the EXPERT level. The kabuki tape set contains masks for the canopy glazing from the outer as well as the inner side, for other clear parts and for the wheels. Compared with the basic version it adds masks for the inner side of the glazing, so the frames stay in color even when you look into the cockpit.
The Grumman E-2 Hawkeye is an American carrier-based airborne early warning aircraft with a pair of turboprop engines and a conspicuous rotating radar dome above the fuselage. The E-2C version was the main configuration for a long time, and the Hawkeye 2000 modernization brought new equipment and avionics. The dense framing of the extensive glazing makes precise masking a key element of the model.
Apply the masks over a degreased and smooth paint finish. The pre-cut parts follow the frames exactly and remove the need to cut with a knife directly on the model. Kabuki tape adapts to curved surfaces and comes off without adhesive residue once the job is done. The inner masks come into their own above all where the glazing is clearly visible.
This is a masking accessory, not an aircraft model. Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package.
