The New Ware 1:48 P-51D-5NA Mustang EXPERT mask set is the widest grade of masking for this version of the Mustang. It covers considerably more surfaces than the basic version.

The set in the EXPERT form is the most extensive version the manufacturer New Ware offers for this subject. Compared with the basic grade it adds further masked surfaces. It is supplied as self-adhesive parts cut on a backing film, ready to be lifted off with tweezers and applied to the model.
The Mustang is a model that is built often and becomes a target of comparison. That is exactly why it pays to remove all the places where work by hand would leave a trace. The higher grade of the set also covers surfaces for which a modeler would make masks from tape by hand, that is with an uncertain result. The advantage lies not only in accuracy but also in the fact that the model can be painted in one run without breaking off to cut more tape.
Divide the masks up by assemblies and apply them in the order in which you will spray. Before spraying, always check the model against the light to see whether an edge is standing up anywhere. With masks for the wheels, remember that the tire and the rim are painted in different shades and that the order of the coats decides the result. Spray in thin coats and at lower pressure; with many masks on at once the risk of a step is higher. Remove the masks as you go and do not leave them on the model longer than necessary.
The package holds only the mask set. A kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
