This set from the Brassin line by the Czech maker Eduard holds resin replacement wheels for models of the McDonnell Douglas F-15C, F-15D, F-15J and F-15N fighters in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory that replaces the wheels of the base kit and refines the look of the landing gear.
The castings capture the fine tread pattern and the structure of the hubs, including a suggestion of the tire deflecting under the weight of the machine. Etched or masking parts for easy, clean painting of the hubs are usually included. The set serves as a direct replacement for the plastic wheels of the corresponding Eagle version.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and sand them with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; the tires and hubs airbrush well, and to separate the hub from the tire use the mask included, if there is one.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
