Responsibility details are not available.
The set is an accessory for a diorama. According to the name it contains six barriers of the kind used in ordinary traffic for closures and for directing traffic. In 1:72 scale it suits scenes with modern machines, airfield aprons and civilian dioramas.
Water filled barriers are hollow plastic units that arrive empty and light, are set out in a row and only then filled with water on the spot so that they hold. They are used for road closures, on building sites, at the entrances to compounds and at checkpoints, where a space has to be separated off quickly and reversibly. They are made in striking signal colors, most often white, red and orange, often with reflectors. A row joins into a continuous line, so on a diorama they look best set out in a longer line rather than individually.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Cut the remains of the casting blocks off and level the area with abrasive paper; with resin, sand wet and protect your airways. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Signal colors need a light base: spray a white surfacer and only then a saturated red or orange over it. New plastic has a smooth sheen, while used plastic is more matte and dirty, so dusting with pigments near the ground, a dark wash in the seams and gentle scuffs on the edges turn a clean barrier into a piece of real equipment.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
