A resin replacement control stick for a model of the German Messerschmitt Me 410 heavy fighter in the A and B versions in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model, but a small detail part from Quickboost. The casting replaces the simplified stick from the kit with a more faithful rendering with fine detail on the grip.
The Me 410 Hornisse was a German twin-engine heavy fighter and fast bomber with DB 603 engines. The control stick was the central control of the cockpit and, on models with an exposed interior, it is among the most closely watched details.
Wash the part free of mold release agent, separate it carefully from the casting block with a sharp cutter and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Before painting, roughen the surface lightly and apply a primer suitable for resin so that the paint holds well and does not flake anywhere.
This is an accessory for refining a kit, not a stand-alone model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
