Resin replacement barrels for the armament of a model of the German Messerschmitt Me 410B-2/U4 heavy fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model, but a detail part from Quickboost. The cast barrels replace the plastic parts and bring a crisper, more accurate look to the armament.
The Me 410 Hornisse was a German twin-engine heavy fighter and fast bomber with DB 603 engines. The B-2/U4 version was armed with a massive 5 cm caliber cannon (BK 5) in the nose, intended to destroy heavy bombers from long range. The combination of barrels in this set matches exactly that armament.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, separate them from the casting block with a sharp cutter or a saw and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Before painting, roughen the surface lightly and apply a primer suitable for resin so that the paint holds well and does not flake anywhere.
This is an accessory for refining a kit, not a stand-alone model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
