The set holds three multiple ejector racks, MERs, in 1:48 scale, completed with decals. It is an aftermarket resin accessory with a large number of small parts. It does not hold a model of an aircraft or the bombs; it serves for hanging the armament faithfully on models of combat aircraft.
The MER, or Multiple Ejector Rack, is an American multiple rack that allowed several bombs to be carried on a single fuselage or underwing station. It was used on a range of American combat aircraft and was a typical element of their armament on strikes against ground targets.
Wash the resin parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond the fine parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. The racks are usually painted in the same shade as the underside of the aircraft, and the small details and fins come out well after a wash. The enclosed decals add the technical markings.
This is a detail set, not a complete model. The model itself, the bombs, glue and paints are not included in the package.
