The Messerschmitt Bf-109K-4 ADVANCED in 1:48 scale is an accessory item of the Big Sin range from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model of the aircraft. It brings together in one package several sets that are also sold separately, all of them Brassin sets for one type, which are fitted onto a kit already bought. Eduard also offers a variant designated ESSENTIAL for the same aircraft, so when choosing, go by the designation in the name to get the one you want.
The Bf 109K-4 was the last production version of the Messerschmitt. It came about as an attempt to bring the production muddle of the end of the war into one standard, and it was powered by a DB 605D engine with a short-term increase in output. It is recognized by its tall vertical tail, its retractable tail wheel and the reworked covers above the guns. For armament it carried an engine-mounted cannon firing through the propeller hub, completed by a pair of synchronized guns above the engine. It reached the units only in the last months of the war, so its combat career was short and the machines tended to be worn.
Wash the resin and printed parts first and let them dry out thoroughly, or the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutter away from the part, not right next to it, and do the sanding with your airways protected. It is glued with super glue; on large surfaces the gel kind suits better, for the longer time it leaves to settle the part. Try the accessories for the cockpit dry before the fuselage is closed.
