An injection-molded plastic kit of the German twin-engine Messerschmitt Bf 110D heavy fighter in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in the Weekend edition. According to the manufacturer the Weekend edition contains plastic parts for building one aircraft and several marking variants, with no photo-etch and no resin; it is therefore a more straightforward build. The model captures the long-range D version.
The Messerschmitt Bf 110 was a German twin-engine heavy fighter with a crew of two. The D version was adapted for long-range tasks and was usually fitted with additional fuel tanks to increase its range. The Bf 110 proved itself as a multipurpose machine and later also as a night fighter, and it was deployed on many fronts. It was distinguished by heavy forward armament, a pair of engines and a characteristic glazed canopy for the crew.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish and paint the cockpit with the crew and the interior before closing the fuselage. Seat the engine nacelles carefully and check their fit on the wing. Lay down a primer before painting and apply the paints with an airbrush. Mask the extensive canopy glazing and glue it with cement for clear parts. For period German schemes choose established shades.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
