An item from the colors and markings range of the Czech brand Mark I, a decal set for 1:48 scale. It is neither a kit nor accessory parts — it is the reference by which you paint and mark an already built model. The set covers two related types: the Messerschmitt Me 210 and its development continuation the Me 410 in the B-2/U4 version. The extent of the sheet and the number of finishes are stated on the box.
The Me 210 was a German twin-engine two-seat aircraft designed as the successor to the Bf 110. In service it showed up difficulties with its flying qualities, which led to a reworking of the airframe: lengthening the rear fuselage and changing the engines gave rise to the Me 410. That was built in several armament versions, with supplementary designations of the U4 kind distinguishing the field conversion sets that altered the armament of the machine. Both series share a characteristic silhouette with remotely controlled defensive weapons at the sides of the fuselage.
Varnish the model with a gloss clear coat before the decals and let it cure thoroughly. Cut the decals out close to the motif, soak them briefly and let them release on paper. On the large flat surfaces of a 1:48 fuselage it pays to lay the decal onto a thin film of water, so that it can be slid into place. Where a motif crosses engraved panel lines, use a softener and gentle pressure with a cotton swab. Once dry, wipe the remains of the adhesive off with a damp cloth and unify the surface with a varnish in the gloss you want.
