A set of small resin props from the Czech manufacturer Plus Model in 1:48 scale. Sheet metal buckets and cans are among the universal accessories that suit military as well as civilian scenes, from a field kitchen through a stable and a yard to an airfield workshop. It is exactly such small things that make a good diorama a splendid one.
Galvanized buckets and cans were omnipresent in the first half of the twentieth century: water, feed, fuel for stoves and mortar mix were all carried in them. In an army they served in washing equipment down, watering horses and in kitchens. Their simple, timeless shape means they suit scenes from the First World War up to the present-day countryside.
Separate the small castings from the casting blocks carefully; a new blade and a fine file will help. You can imitate galvanizing with a light gray with a metallic hint and a fine dark wash, and credibility is given by rust in the pressings and worn bottoms. A bucket can also be colored and chipped, while a can can be polished. Place the props by walls, on wagons or in the hands of figures; they look natural everywhere.
The set is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
