Eduard 1:48 MG 81Z machine gun is a resin detail set of the twin aircraft machine gun for refining the defensive armament of a model in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but an accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set by Eduard in 1:48 scale, the BRASSIN line. It is not a kit but a faithful model of the twin MG 81Z aircraft machine gun intended for fitting into the defensive positions of a model. The fine casting captures the barrels, the breeches and the mount and is usually complemented by photo-etched parts.
The MG 81Z is a German aircraft machine gun of the Second World War period of 7.92 mm caliber; the letter Z denotes the twin execution (Zwilling), that is, two coupled weapons with a higher rate of fire. It was used as defensive armament on German bombers and multirole machines, especially in the ventral and beam positions. Its higher density of fire made it an effective close-defense weapon.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate the thin casting blocks carefully and clean them up with respiratory protection. Bond the resin and the fine photo-etched parts with super glue. The weapon is usually sprayed in metal shades, and the barrels and the mechanism can be brought out with a dark wash and a dry brush.
This is an armament accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
