The real subject

The Gotha Go 242 was a German cargo glider with twin tail booms and a hinged rear section through which cargo and light vehicles were loaded. Out of it came the powered version Go 244B-1 with a pair of radial engines, thanks to which the machine needed no tug aircraft. The defense of both types rested on hand-operated machine guns in glazed and open gun positions. The MG 15 was a German aircraft machine gun of 7.92 mm caliber with a drum magazine, used in flexible mounts throughout the first half of the war.

What the set solves

Building and painting tips

The parts are small, so work over a tray and with tweezers, so that a lost barrel is not hunted across the whole workshop. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest carefully. Wash and degrease before painting. Weapons are easier to paint separately, away from the model, and are fitted only at the end. The suitable glue depends on the material of the parts, so follow the manufacturer's instructions.
