Eduard 1:48 MICA RF 3D PRINTED is a set of 3D printed replicas of air-to-air guided missiles in the radar-guided version, in 1:48 scale.

This is not an aircraft kit but an accessory. The name of the item states the production method: 3D printing. With missile replicas it has proved itself above all because it can handle thin fins and fine surface detail with none of the casting surfaces and parting seams that injection-molded parts always fight with. The set replaces the simplified missiles from the original kit or adds armament to pylons that were left empty in the base package.
MICA is a French air-to-air guided missile used on modern combat aircraft. It is made in two main versions that differ in the method of guidance: a radar-guided version and a version with an infrared seeker. This set corresponds to the radar variant. Both versions have practically identical bodies and the difference is above all in the forward section, which matters when building a model — a different set is needed for the other variant.
Cut the 3D printed parts off the supports with a sharp scalpel or a saw and sand the marks left by the supports with fine paper; a mask pays off when spraying. Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before painting — paint holds poorly on an unwashed surface. They are bonded with super glue, as this material does not react to cement for plastic. Spray a primer to unify the surface texture, and only then the paint. Fit the missiles to the pylons at the end of the build, after painting and decals, or they break off easily.
The set is supplied on its own, without a kit. Glue, paints and tools are not included in the package. The number of pieces in the package is stated on the packaging.
