Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set for the Soviet MiG-15 jet fighter (the Allied code Fagot) in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not an aircraft model but a set of fine metal parts that replace or complete the details of a plastic kit. Etched parts of thin sheet are sharper than molded plastic and carry the instrument panel, safety belts, control levers and small covers or details of the interior and the exterior. The material is usually brass, and steel on some parts.
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 was one of the first successful Soviet jet fighters with a swept wing. It went down in history above all in the Korean War, where it became an unpleasant opponent for Western aircraft. It stood out for its good climb, its strong cannon armament and its simple, rugged design, and it was built and used in enormous numbers.
Separate the etched parts with a sharp knife and bend them over the edge of a ruler or in a bending tool. They are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and it is a good idea to degrease the surface before gluing. The set is intended for more advanced modelers used to small metal parts.
The set does not contain the model of the aircraft itself; it serves as an accessory for the matching kit. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
