A detail cockpit set for the MiG-17PF Fresco D in 1:48 scale from Aires. It is a resin set complemented by etched parts, meant for experienced modelers: it is not a stand-alone model of the aircraft but an upgrade with which you replace the simplified cockpit from a plastic kit.
The resin castings bring a faithfully worked cockpit tub with side panels, an instrument panel, a detailed ejection seat and fine etched items such as seat belts and control levers. The resulting cockpit has a markedly higher level of detail than the parts from the box, and once assembled and painted it remains nicely visible under the glazing.
The set is designed as a replacement cockpit for an injection-molded MiG-17PF kit in 1:48 scale. Check which particular kit the package is meant for against the manufacturer's part number: the parts tend to be tailored to a given kit and may need adjustment during fitting.
