About product

Quickboost MiG-21 radio altimeter sensors, early version, 1:48

This resin accessory contains accurately shaped radio altimeter sensors (antennas) for models of the MiG-21 fighter in 1:48 scale, in the layout of the early version. It is not an aircraft model but a small refinement set that replaces the coarser plastic parts with more faithful castings placed on the underside of the fuselage.

What the set offers

  • finely shaped radio altimeter sensors
  • a version matching the early layout
  • sharp edges and detail that plastic cannot manage
  • a quick improvement to the underside of the aircraft

Fitting and painting

Cut the parts off the casting block and clean them up, then glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) onto the marked places on the fuselage. They are painted together with their surroundings in the scheme of the particular machine. Given how small they are, work with tweezers and protect your airways while sanding.

Who the set is for

  • builders of the MiG-21 who want accurate antennas under the fuselage
  • modelers aiming for the greatest fidelity of detail
  • more experienced modelers working with small resin parts

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
