A detailed cockpit set for the MiG-21MF in 1:48 scale from the Aires brand. It is a resin set complemented by photo-etched parts, intended for experienced modelers: not a stand-alone aircraft model but an upgrade with which you replace the simplified cockpit from a plastic kit.
The resin castings bring a faithfully worked cockpit tub with side consoles, an instrument panel, a detailed ejection seat and fine photo-etched elements such as the harness straps and the control levers. The resulting cockpit has a markedly higher level of detail than the parts from the box, and once assembled and painted it stays nicely in view under the glazing.
The set is built as a replacement cockpit for an injection-molded MiG-21MF kit in 1:48 scale. Check the particular kit the package is intended for against the manufacturer's part number: the parts tend to be tailored to a given kit and may call for adjustment during fitting.
