Injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet supersonic fighter MiG-21PFM in 1:48 scale by the Czech manufacturer Eduard in the popular ProfiPACK edition. On top of the quality plastic mold, it adds colored photo-etched parts, a masking set for the glazing and decals for several markings. The box includes plastic sprues and clear cockpit parts.
The MiG-21 was one of the most widely produced supersonic fighters of the Cold War; huge numbers were built and it served in dozens of countries. The PFM version was an interceptor with a modified cockpit canopy and improved equipment. The type was renowned for its simplicity, high speed and agility; it was also operated by the Czechoslovak Air Force.
Finish and paint the detailed cockpit with its colored etched parts before closing up the fuselage. Mask the canopy glazing with the supplied mask. Glue the etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Spray the large surfaces with an airbrush, and apply a gloss coat before decaling. Fit the drop tanks and ordnance last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
