A cast resin upgrade set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in the Brassin line. It brings a faithfully cast main landing gear bay for the MiG-23 fighter in the M and MF versions in 1:48 scale, with the bay itself, hydraulic elements and doors. It is not a model or a kit of a whole aircraft: it is a detail accessory for advanced modelers, which replaces the simplified plastic bay from the box. Cast resin faithfully renders the tangle of piping, wiring and structure that is clearly visible in the landing gear bay on a model with the gear down.
The MiG-23 is a single-engine supersonic fighter with a variable-sweep wing, a typical Soviet design of the 1970s and 1980s. The M and MF versions were close in construction and were built in large numbers. The landing gear bays of this aircraft are busy and prominent when the finished model is viewed from below.
It is supplied as a resin accessory, unpainted. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
