This is a detail accessory, not an aircraft model. The set replaces the plastic cannon muzzles with fine resin parts and is intended for MiG-15 models in 1:48 scale. The aim is to render the barrels of the armament on the lower part of the nose faithfully.
The MiG-15 carried heavy cannon armament concentrated under the nose: one cannon of 37 mm caliber and two cannons of 23 mm caliber. Cast resin barrels capture the exact profile, the muzzles and the small shapes better than injection-molded plastic, so the most conspicuous element of the nose gains a sharp, clean look. The detail tells above all when a model is seen close up and in photographs.
Take the parts carefully off the casting gates, clean them up with your airways protected and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Before fitting, check the alignment with the openings in the fuselage. Painting in a metallic shade with the muzzles lightly accentuated will give the barrels depth.
The set contains resin parts and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
