A LööK set for the Mikoyan MiG-21PFM in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. A detail accessory focused on the instrument panel of the cockpit, intended for a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail accessory, not an aircraft model. The LööK set from Eduard concentrates on what is most visible in a cockpit - the instrument panel. It replaces the part from the plastic kit with a resin part that has the instruments sharply rendered, dial faces included, and that essentially needs no painting of small details. It is an instrument panel for 1:48 scale.
The MiG-21PFM was one of the transitional versions of the Soviet supersonic MiG-21 fighter. Compared with earlier versions it received a modified cockpit with a sideways-hinged canopy and different equipment, so the instrument panel differs from earlier and later modifications alike. That is exactly why a detail set is tied to a particular version and is not interchangeable between MiG-21 versions.
Before building, wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with a few drops of detergent to remove the residue of the mold release agent - otherwise neither glue nor paint will hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutter, do not snap them. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); cement for plastic does not work on resin. Dry-fit the panel in the fuselage before gluing it in, as on some kits the sides need to be sanded down slightly. Fit the cockpit glazing last and protect the finished cockpit from overspray.
An accessory for a plastic kit. The package does not contain the model, paints or glue.
