1:48 Mil Mi-17Hip one-sided express mask for AMK

Art Scale 1:48 masking set, Mil Mi-17 Hip

A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks in quality kabuki film, not a kit. The parts are numbered and come with instructions giving their exact placement. The set is cut to fit a particular plastic kit of the Mi-17 helicopter in 1:48 scale. The single-sided version covers the outer side of the glazing and is enough where inner masking is not needed.

The real subject

The Mil Mi-17, known under the NATO reporting name Hip, is a Soviet and Russian twin-engined medium transport helicopter widespread in civil and military service all over the world. It has an extensively glazed flight deck and side windows, whose masking by hand is slow work.

Use

• Transfer the mask with tweezers onto clean glass and press the edges down.
• Spray the frames in thin coats to prevent paint bleed.
• Work window by window according to the numbering.
• Once dry, peel the masks off carefully.

Who the set is for

• Builders of helicopters for whom masking the outer side is enough.
• Modelers looking for quick and clean masking of windows.

The set contains no paints and no model. It is an accessory to a plastic kit.
