A photo-etched accessory set for a kit of the Mil Mi-24P attack helicopter in 1:48 scale, number FE1482.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mil Mi-24P is a heavily armed attack helicopter of Soviet design with an armored cockpit in which the operator and the pilot sit one behind the other. Behind the cockpit a compartment was left for the troops to be put down, so the machine joins the qualities of an attack and a transport helicopter. You will recognize the P version by the fixed built-in twin-barrel cannon on the right side of the nose, which replaced the movable turret of the older machines.
A photo-etched accessory set for a kit of the Mi-24P helicopter in 1:48 scale. The parts are etched from thin metal sheet and suit where plastic would have to be unnaturally thick. The extent of the set, the part numbers and the places they are seated are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp blade on a hard base and sand the remnant of the tab down carefully so that the part seats without a gap. Lead the bends in a bender or between two blades and finish them in one go. Super glue in a tiny amount applied from the tip of a toothpick suits for gluing. Degrease the metal surface before painting and apply a primer for metal; on bare sheet the paint holds badly and flakes off during handling.
The set belongs in the hands of a modeler who has already worked with photo-etch and wants to bring the intricate surface of the helicopter closer to the real subject. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
