The Eduard 1:48 Mil Mi-35M TFace masking set holds precisely shaped self-adhesive masks for covering the glazing of a model of the attack helicopter. The TFace designation means masks for the outer and the inner side of the glazing.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive masking parts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a plastic model of the Mi-35M attack helicopter in 1:48 scale. The masks are pre-cut to the shape of the individual window panes, so they are simply peeled off and stuck down. It is not a kit nor a part of a model, but an aid for painting.
TFace is the version of the set that deals with masking from both sides. Besides masks for the outer side of the glazing it also holds masks for the inner side, so that the frames of the glazing can be sprayed from inside the cockpit as well. That is useful above all with helicopters, where the glazing is extensive and the interior is clearly visible through it.
Rid the glazing of grease and fingerprints before the masks go on. Lift the mask out carefully, lay it into the window pane and press it down with, for example, a wooden toothpick, so that the edges seat. Apply the paint in thin coats; a heavy coat creeps under the edge of the mask and leaves a step once it is removed. Take the mask off as soon as possible after the paint has dried, not after several weeks, so that the adhesive does not bake on. With a helicopter we recommend spraying the inner frames first and only then closing the cockpit up.
It is an accessory for a plastic model, not a kit. The model itself and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
