An injection-molded plastic kit of the French supersonic fighter Dassault Mirage IIIC in 1:48 scale from Academy. The model captures the characteristic delta wing with no horizontal tail surfaces, and it contains a detailed cockpit, landing gear, a glazed canopy in clear parts and decals.
The Mirage IIIC was a single-seat interceptor of French manufacture with a tailless delta wing, which became one of the most successful European supersonic aircraft. It was powered by a jet engine and the machine reached more than twice the speed of sound. The Mirage III served in many countries and became famous for its reliability and its combat reputation in several conflicts. The C version was the basic fighter variant.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with thin liquid cement for plastic. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage and pick it out with a wash. It is a good idea to sand the delta wing and the fuselage fairings carefully and to fill the seams. Mask the glazing for crisp framing and spray the camouflage with an airbrush over primer.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
