An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat trainer version of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M2-K Zero fighter in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in the ProfiPACK edition. Besides the plastic parts the ProfiPACK edition holds color photo-etched parts, a painting mask and several marking options. The model can therefore be built richly equipped straight out of the box.
The A6M Zero was the legendary Japanese carrier fighter of the Second World War, famous for its great agility and long range. The two-seat A6M2-K trainer version was created by converting the Type 21 fighter version, inserting a second, open cockpit for the instructor. It was used to train pilots, and at the end of the war some machines were also committed to suicide attacks. The characteristic feature of the version is precisely the doubled cockpit and the equipment altered from the combat variant.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Put the color photo-etched interior parts to use before closing up the fuselage and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Use the mask supplied on the intricate glazing of both cockpits. Lay a primer before painting and apply the paints with an airbrush. For the Japanese schemes choose established shades according to the marking you pick.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
