This set from the aircraft aftermarket maker Aires/Quickboost is a resin replacement for the muzzles of the Mk-103 aircraft cannon barrels in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a small detail accessory that replaces the plastic parts from the base kit with finely cast muzzles with a suggested hollow bore. A faithful muzzle markedly improves the look of the armament of a model.
The Mk-103 was a German automatic aircraft cannon of 30 mm caliber from the Second World War, used in fixed and in pod installations on various types of aircraft. Protruding barrel muzzles are among the well visible details on armed machines.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut the casting blocks off carefully and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend painting the muzzles in shades of steel and darkening the bore; the surrounding area can be lightly soiled with burn marks.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
