Aires 1:48 Mosquito FB Mk. VI/NF Mk. II engine set is a resin engine set for a de Havilland Mosquito model. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This engine set from Aires in 1:48 scale adds finely rendered powerplants and the related features of the engine nacelle to a Mosquito model in the FB Mk. VI fighter-bomber and NF Mk. II night fighter versions. It is made up of resin parts, as a rule rounded off with photo-etched details. It is an accessory for a kit, not a complete model.
The de Havilland Mosquito is a British twin-engine multirole aircraft of the Second World War with a largely wooden structure. It was powered by two Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engines. The FB Mk. VI version served as a fighter-bomber, the NF Mk. II as a night fighter. An open engine nacelle with a faithful engine markedly brings the look of a model to life.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The engine installation has to be matched to the shape of the nacelle and the cowling, so check the fit dry before gluing.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
