This is a set of self-adhesive masking foils (so-called kabuki masks) for the plastic kit of the P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:48 scale. It is neither a model nor an interior accessory but an aid for spraying the canopy frames and other areas cleanly. The masks are shaped for a particular release of this fighter, so they fit the frames of the canopy exactly.
Precut masks of thin yellow foil that are peeled off and applied to the clear parts. Typically they cover the canopy frames from the outside, the landing gear wheels (the rim versus the tire) and other small circular areas where masking by hand is slow.
Carry the foil with tweezers and press it down with a blunt toothpick so the edges adhere perfectly and paint does not creep under the mask. Spray in thin coats and remove the mask shortly after the paint has dried. The material follows slightly curved surfaces well.
The masks are neither paint nor glue; they serve only to cover areas while spraying. The model itself is not included.
