An Eduard photo-etched set intended for sharpening up a plastic model of the Grumman OV-1B Mohawk reconnaissance and observation aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but an accessory in thin etched sheet, which replaces and supplements fine parts, above all in the cockpit area. The parts printed in color are ready for immediate use.
The Grumman OV-1 Mohawk was an American twin-engined turboprop aircraft for observation and tactical reconnaissance. The OV-1B version carried a side-looking radar in an external pod. The machine was notable for its characteristic glazed cockpit with an excellent view, and for its service above all in Vietnam.
The photo-etched parts sharpen up the instrument panels, the seats, the belts and other items of the interior that are only suggested in plastic. The parts are separated with a sharp knife and glued with super glue; the colored faces are not painted over.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a whole model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
