A detail cockpit set for the Lockheed P-38J Lightning fighter in 1:48 scale from Aires. The resin accessory replaces the basic interior of a plastic kit with a finely detailed cockpit: a cockpit tub, an instrument panel, side consoles, a seat and the controls.
The P-38 Lightning was an American twin-engine fighter of the Second World War with a characteristic twin-boom structure and a central nacelle carrying the cockpit and the armament. It was powered by two Allison V-1710 V12 engines. The J version was one of the capable later forms.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond with super glue. Protect your airways while sanding. The interior comes into its own once painted and the details picked out gently with a wash.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
