A resin accessory from the Hungarian manufacturer SBS Model for Bell P-39 Airacobra models in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit, but a precisely cast propeller of the Aeroproducts type, which replaces the propeller from the kit. The casting faithfully reproduces the shape of the blades and the hub of this particular propeller variant.
The P-39 Airacobra was built with several types of propeller, and choosing the right one matters for the accuracy of a model. This set matches the propeller made by Aeroproducts, which has to be told apart from the other widespread type by Curtiss-Electric. Before buying, check which propeller the version you are building had. The accessory is for more experienced modelers.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. The propeller is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the blades a dark shade with warning tips and add a light gloss or a flat overcoat according to the subject.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
